YCT Announces 2008 General Election Endorsements.

October 13, 2008

From a prepared statement:

(Austin, TX) The Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) is the largest, most active nonpartisan youth conservative organization in the State of Texas.  YCT is proud to announce the 2008 General Election Endorsements which range across the entire state of Texas.

“Candidates are endorsed by performing extensive research, personal interviews with the candidates and reviewing questionnaires,” said Laura Elizabeth Morales, YCT Director of Public Relations.

YCT was founded in 1980 and issues the most highly respected ratings of the state legislature each session.  YCT currently boasts a half-dozen members or alumni in the legislature, as well as having elected two of its own to the U.S. Congress.

“The candidates endorsed by the Young Conservatives of Texas stand for conservative values,” said Morales.  “YCT applauds the candidates for their positions on shrinking the size of government, being fiscally conservative and standing up for traditional values.”

YCT has chapters at Texas Tech University, West Texas A&M University, A&M University, Baylor University, the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Texas at Arlington.  YCT is a nonpartisan grassroots political organization that has been fighting for conservative values for more than a quarter century in the Lone Star State.
