The JLove reference made the connection to politics by Roseanne, actually.

I bring up what Cho's fans said because it's important to know.

And lastly, I didn't even notice that accidentally non-P.C. use of quotation marks. Didn't mean to offend. I meant the use of the word sound as in solid, good, etc. But corrected as per your comment, thanks for pointing it out.

And thanks for the comment!

If you watch the video and listen to what Margaret Cho says about people giving themselves permission to say horrible things about other people and think about this statement within the context of the interview you will see that she is making reference to people anonymously trash-talking the physical appearance of celebrities such as Jennifer Love Hewitt.

To try to compare this to Ms. Cho speaking out against Sarah Palin, when Cho justified her opinion by stating what at the time she believed to be the truth--that Wasilla's former mayor was in office when women were made to pay for their own rape kits--is absurd.

And why make a point to even mention what Cho's fans have said about Sarah Palin? Sure, these people may be writing not-so-nice things about the VP hopeful, but do you really want someone to point out all the nasty things Conservative Republicans have said about Obama that make them out to be bigotted racists? Margaret Cho is in the public eye and therefore her comments are expected to be scrutinized, but quoting anonymous online commenters comes across as not only amateur but also ties back into the misquoted statement from Cho in the first place.

Ms. Cho clearly states that she does not condone anonymously tearing people down online. So what's to say she would support these statements made by her fans? And should I even comment on the use of quotations around the word "sound" when regarding a quote from someone whose username is "Deaf Feminist Punk." Was that an intentional pun or something accidentally non-P.C.?

Ms. Cho should look in a mirror and then decide who is an insult to feminism.
