Columbia University wasn’t the only place where students protested the U.S. visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad.
The Young Conservatives of Texas at UTSA held their own demonstration this afternoon on the 1604 campus. YCT Chairwoman Laura Morales says the president harbors terrorism and has publicly stated his hatred for the U.S.
The group says Ahmedinejad would not be welcome on the UTSA campus, and Columbia University should have rescinded its invitation to the Iranian leader.
Demonstrators carried signs that said “Ahmedinejad, Go Home” and “Stop Facism Now” and some that showed pictures of the Holocaust, which he has denied ever happened.
